| Would you like to donate? The Organic Growers of Fairlie are leading the way in showing that communities can live sustainable lifestyles? Our 'Waste-to-Food' model is demonstrating solutions to the most pressing issues of our time, and our hope is that this becomes the template for every community. We have achieved fantastic progress with the support of the local community and our sponsors. To allow us to continue leading the way with this exciting project, we are looking for support through funding, financial donations and donations of materials. Can you donate money or materials to our project? Donations will allow us to further our aim in creating this legacy for our village i.e. a sustainable garden. This garden will not only be used by the villagers as a working / productive garden, but will also be used to demonstrate / train others in the methods used to allow them to create their own gardens. | Official Opening of Garden by Michael Russell MSP (Minister for the Environment) with North Ayrshire Provost Bobby Rae (wearing grey beard) and Kenneth Gibson MSP (Member for Cunninghame North) holding ribbon | Our aim is to have similar community gardens all over the country. The Scottish Government have made it a top priority to create a Sustainable Scotland.....the Organic Growers of Fairlie are leading the way! Since The Organic Growers of Fairlie is now registered as a charity, companies and individuals can make tax-deductible donations to the group to demonstrate their support for Green Sustainable Projects. We actively promote our charity and Project Partners and Sponsors are likewise promoted and acknowledged (see our Project Partners and Sponsors pages). All financial donations are gratefully received no matter how large or small, and whether a single donation or a commitment to regular donations it all helps toward the ever increasing costs of our work. As a result of the Gift Aid scheme announced in the April 2000 budget we receive additional benefit if the donation is made by a UK taxpayer as we can reclaim the basic rate tax paid on this amount if you complete a Gift Aid declaration. You only need to complete the form once so please remember to complete the form if you send in a donation. If you are a higher rate taxpayer you can also reclaim the additional tax paid by declaring the donation on your Self Assessment tax form. If you would like to make a donation to the group (financial, material or time/labour -all are most acceptable!) please contact us via the Contact Us section of the web page or download the donation form below. Details for sending donations by post are on the donation form below.
